The Fox Building is a former shoe factory. MICA converted it into classroom and gallery space in 1980. Since then it has undergone further renovations, most notably the addition of Cafe Doris to the ground floor in 2004. Two large exhibition spaces are housed on the ground floor: Decker Gallery and Meyerhoff Gallery. Additional gallery space is located on the second and third floors. Fox Building includes a wood shop, ceramics facilities, and studio space for illustration, environmental design, and Masters of Arts in Community Arts students. Classrooms for painting, foundation, illustration, drawing, and environmental design are located on the second, third, and fourth floors, in addition to classrooms for Center for Art Education programs are located on the ground floor.

The most interesting thing about this show -- beyond all the amazing work produced, but that was a given -- was the way the exhibition space was set up. Instead of a traditional group exhibition with each artist's work grouped together, this was interdispersed and it really showed how everything plays off each other and is interrelated.
