Loss And Consequences: The Drunk Driving Project

Co-sponsored by Urbanite Magazine, the Maryland State Highway Administration, and MICA, this panel of distinguished speakers will address several engaging perspectives surrounding the loss and consequence of driving while under the influence of alcohol. Panelist speakers include Lt. Thomas Woodward with the Maryland State Police; hip-hop artist and recent Oprah Winfrey Hero recipient Timmy Grins (www.youtube.com/user/TimmyGrins); and Dr. Thomas M. Scalea, Physician-in-Chief, University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

This panel presentation will kick off a campus-wide project in which students will create art and design projects that address the issue of drunk-driving. The panel is required for those students who seek to participate.
